Refractions of light

land on my chest

sourced not from water,

but a reflection of myself

in the mirror. 

Each color, a band 

of representation

a multitude of attributes

coming together

creating a circle--

not an arch--

of complexity.

A reminder to myself

that no one hue

can stand alone

no hue more important

than another

all colors hold the same value.

A plurality of personality

an assemblage of acceptance

A rainbow reminder
